Hey Everyone,
I wanted to give you a quick update – we currently have a fresh batch of delicious salad turnips available this week. The early salad turnips are known for being the sweetest. Additionally, this will be the final week to get your hands on some spinach before it starts bolting due to the warmer temperatures.
What's the latest on the farm?
We are keeping our fingers crossed for some warmer weather and a break from the rain so we can plant our cool season crops in the field as soon as possible. It’s quite a change from last year’s drought to the rainy start we’ve had this year.
Welcome, Gideon!
Help has arrived! Gideon, originally from Nashville, Tennessee, made his way from a farm down in Florida up to Bibb Forest Farm earlier this week. He plans to stay and help through the remainder of the season as our season’s intern. Gideon has hopes of starting a homestead or farm business of sorts one day and has already fallen in love with Virginia. Be sure to welcome Gideon if you run into him throughout the season!
