At Bibb Forest Farm, our cattle play an important role in our multi-species, holistic grazing program. Our cows graze in a flerd (flock and herd) along with sheep and our milking goats. We raise commercial Angus that have never receive antibiotics, artificial growth hormones or steroids. A 100% grass fed and finished, stress-free lifestyle produces a delicious product.
Grass Fed Beef Hanging Tender
Our hanging tenders are available in 1 pound (average) packs. Also known as a ‘hanger steak;’ this specialty cut is beginning to gain popularity for being a rich and flavorful cut of meat. Somewhat similar in appearance and cooking method to the more well known flank steak, hanging tenders are great grilled, broiled, or sauteed.

Cooking Tips: For best results, we recommend a marinade to tenderize and highlight the great flavor, as well as being sure to cut against the muscle grain! (Note – the muscle grain on this great steak runs at a 45 degree angle, rather than the end-to-end that we’re usually used to. Take note and care when slicing, you’ll be glad you did)
We currently do not offer shipping on any of our meat products. We have listed our inventory online for pickup at one of our weekly markets/CSA pickup-points.
Currently our only pickup point is West End’s winter market located at Gayton Road Christian Church every Saturday 9-noon.
