A great culinary herb in the mint family. With great potential medicinal benefits and delicious taste, basil is a great addition to your kitchen.

Storage

If bunches with stems, keep the basil in a jar/cup of water on the counter for several days. Or only if the leaves are dry keep them in fridge in a bag.

Cooking Tips

Basil tastes the best as an uncooked garnish. Uses include as pesto, straight on tomatoes and mozzarella as a side dish, adding basil to Thai flavored stir-fries, in stews or tea.
